Buddy was a phenomenal dog with a soul filled with love from the first day we met him. When we met him at the shelter, a family had already put their names down for him but we felt such a connection with him that it was worth putting our names down as second in line. He was always meant to be with us because that first family never showed up. We'll never know his exact age, but what we do know is he gave us 11 years filled with memories and the kind of unconditional love only a dog could give. He loved walks, car rides, and showing off his favorite toys (usually IKEA rats) to guests. He also loved all people that he met, and he especially loved our other dog Bailey when we brought her home as a puppy some years later. Even though he was here for a relatively small part of our lives, we were his whole life and for what it's worth, we never took a moment for granted with him. It's never about anticipating the end, but more about making the most out of the time you have with a dog. We miss you every day Buddy. ❤️
