On May 25th, I had to say good bye to my best friend and soul dog, Buddy. He was the most amazing dog and spent most days cuddling on my chest and then at any minute would be down for a 7 mile hike. He seemed to never run out of his puppy energy-- bouncing around like deer at the sight of a ball and doing the fastest zoomies around the yard and then through the house! We’ve shared so many wonderful memories together— from camping, to a 5 state road trip ending with Mammoth. He was truly the best adventure buddy, living up to his name. He brought me comfort, watched the kids grow up and in the end brought endless joy to our lives. Looking back, it’s incredible that this boy was rescued from the shelter at 3 years old and with us for 14 amazing years. While no time would have been enough, I’m so thankful for his life and the moments we did share. I’m sure you’ve seen the quote before but it’s the honest truth… "who rescued who?"  I love you Buddy! I’m forever grateful for you and the love you gave back to all of us.
